Description
Part of a series of 'difficult conversation' branching scenarios. This one aims to help union reps practice communication with workers who may have been influenced by the far right. It introduces techniques reps can use to encourage a person to explore their concerns, and to challenge them without alienating them further.
This guide has been distributed as a short standalone guide, and also within a larger training activity aimed at helping reps tackling the influence of the far right in their workplace.
My role
I consulted with a senior policy officer on race at the TUC, and I researched printed classroom from past decades. I also met with a campaigner from Hope Not Hate who shared valuable communication tips with me.
